I copied the rates here from a friend on the going rates of commission work here (I don't want to overcharge anybody).

Price quotes on BLACK AND WHITE artwork

Commissions start from $50 for single character illustrations that are already inked with simple backgrounds.
Complex pieces that involves specific scenarios, backgrounds and multiple characters starts at $100

Price quotes on COLORED artwork:

Single character illustrations with simple backgrounds starts at $100, Complex pieces range from $150 and above. Two characters are around $150 to 200.

Multiple hero characters begin at $300 and will never exceed 350. It’s usually three to five characters. (There’s only so much one can put on an 11x17 artwork before each character gets too small.). The X-men piece I did was overkill though, I probably drank too much Red Bull then.

I send layouts for approval before doing tight pencils or inking and I send copies of the work in progress before proceeding to other steps like coloring. So the piece will be exactly what the client asks for.

These quotes are not for artwork intended for commercial use.

Payments:

50% down payment and the remaining balance paid before I send the high resolution files.

I accept Paypal via Xoom.com (Like everyone else in the region, it’s the only way right now to process Paypal payments)

Shipping:

Most do not ask for the inked or penciled originals, but in cases that they want the artwork. Shipping cost is shouldered by the buyer.

Turnaround time:

Usually one to two weeks depending on the detail of the artwork and depending on communication with the buyer.

If the illustration will take longer than that for whatever reason I let the buyer know.

I don’t do these commissions by the bulk. I do everything to give the best that I can give on each one so I can say I am proud of the work and it’s worth printing and be hanged on the wall.

Just an added offer. For every 2 referrals, the one who referred me will get a free b&w commission of anything they want. Or for every 2 commissions you have me do I will give you 1 free. So if you referred me to somebody who made me do 4 pieces, you get 2 free b&w art.
